Butterflies - Mid Wales

Rimmed in blue. The small tortoiseshell is one of our commonest garden butterflies. It is fast flyer and can be recognised in flight by dark body on an orange background. The wings of tortoiseshell are bordered as a rim of intense blue chevrons.
