A puddler! Groups of these butteflies can often be seen near river banks and mud patches. Here they take up sodium and other salts. Insect nerve systems run on sodium as opposed to Potassium in mammals. There are many Graphiums found in the Old World Forests of Asia and Africa. This species has an attractive green stripe on its underwing.
