Lexias dirtea

A forest floor species. This species is often found down on the forest floor level in Borneo where it basks in the sun flecks and feeds on fallen fruit. When disturbed, they fly off just a few metre and settle again. The male has this dramatic blue trailing edge to the wing whereas the female is more camouflaged.
