Actias dubernardi caterpillar Chinese Moon Lady thumbnail

A prize caterpillar. This is one of the most ornate caterpillars we have ever had the chance to rear. The shape is similar to other moon moth caterpillars save that is decorated with white dots and what look like droplets of melted silver. It feeds on pine needles. The male moth is an exquisite yellow and pink colour and is graced with extremely 'long tails'.
